(Polymer Chemistry, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, 2001) Research interests Dr.Cheng's research interests focus on rational design and green synthesis of linear and hyperbranched macromolecules and supramolecules with novel architectures and exploration of their advanced materials properties. Research projects in Dr. Cheng's group involve molecular design and synthesis of new linear and hyperbranched polymers for advanced high-performance materials, especially new poly(arylene ether)s containing heterocyclic units such as polyimides.
