Following postdoctoral research at Genentech, Inc., he became an Instructor at Emory University. Dr. Zhou joined Nankai University College of Life Sciences as a Professor in 2005. He is currently Chair of the Department of Genetics and Cell Biology. Dr. Zhou’s laboratory studies the roles of microtubule-binding proteins in development and disease. In addition, his laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms of cancer chemotherapeutic resistance.
