学校简介

芜湖职业技术学院创建于1983年，是教育部批准更名的全国第三所高等职业技术学院。学院现有南北两个校区，占地约1247亩，建筑面积约26万平方米，教学仪器设备总值7000多万元。学院设有党委院长外事办公室、组织人事部等十二个管理机构和机械工程、电气工程、建筑工程、轻化工程、信息工程、生物工程、经济管理、园林园艺、外语、国际经济与贸易等十个系，常设高职专业52个，现有招生专业47个，专业设置以工科类专业为主，多学科协调发展。学院现有全日制在校生12000余人。

　　2003年经安徽省教育厅批准，学院与新加坡BCA学院结为友好学校，在建筑工程管理专业开展 2+1 教学模式合作。学院还与美国特洛伊大学、南新罕布什尔大学进行合作办学。

　　学院2001年被教育部确定为全国三十一所示范性职业技术学院建设单位之一；2006年被教育部、财政部列为 国家示范性高职院校建设计划 首批二十八所立项建设院校之一；为国家高职高专人才培养工作水平评估优秀院校；多次荣获 安徽省普通高等学校毕业生就业工作先进集体 称号，2008年被授予 安徽省普通高校毕业生就业工作标兵单位 。

　　学院为教育部等七部委确定的 数控技术应用 、 汽车运用技术 专业领域和建设行业技能型紧缺人才培养培训工程实施院校；教育部、安徽省高职院校双师素质教师培训基地和半工半读试点院校。

　　学院于1996年开始职业技能鉴定并设立鉴定站,为省市级职业技能鉴定先进单位；学院还是信息产业部全国信息技术人才培养工程网页设计师项目合作院校、中国职业培训与职业资格认证工作站、中国CAD应用培训芜湖分中心、华中科技大学数控技术芜湖培训分中心、清华大学PRO/E芜湖培训分中心。


　　学院坚持以服务地方经济为宗旨，按照 地方性、市场化、技能型、开放式 发展思路，主动融入芜湖经济技术开发区，与奇瑞汽车有限公司等众多企业开展合作办学，在与开发区同步建设、互动发展中形成了 融入开发区，创新校企合作模式 的鲜明办学特色，创新了 教学合作、管理参与、文化融入、就业订单 的 融入式 校企合作新模式，逐步实现了校企深度融合，教育教学质量不断提高。
 

 

 Brief Introduction of Wuhu Institute of Technology
Wuhu Institute of Technology, founded in 1983, was the third vocational institute ratified and renamed by the State Ministry of Education. It is composed of North Part and South Part, covering 1247 mu or so, the building is over 260 000 square meters. The teaching facilities totally worth more than RMB 78 million yuan. It has Office of Party Committees and the Foreign Affairs, the organization and Personnel management department with twelve other management departments. The institute still has ten departments, including Mechanical Engineering, Electric Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Fine Chemical Industry, Information Engineering, Biography Engineering, Economy and Management, Horticulture and Gardening, Foreign Languages and International Economy and Business. There are 52 permanent higher vocational majors, 47 enrolled majors, professional majors settings are devoted to engineering profession-oriented, multidisciplinary coordinated development. Full-time students are more than 12,000 people.
In 2003, it established a Friendship Institute with Singapore BAC College ratified and audited by the Anhui Ministry of Education，both sides simultaneously introduced 2+1" model for the major of Architectural Engineering. Now the institute has also successively reached educational agreements with US Troy University, US Southern University of New Hampshire.
In 2001, it was defined as one of 31 Constructing Units of Technical Model Colleges of by the National Education Department. In 2006, it was determined one of the first batch of 28 college projects, which is approved to construct as the Construction Plan of National Model Colleges of Higher Vocational Technology by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance.It was judged A level (Excellent one)in the assessment for personnel training among high vocational schools organised by the Ministry of Education. It was awarded with many honors in provincial and city level such as the Model Unit on Employment in Higher Educational Colleges in Anhui Province , the Excellent Unit in the Job Assessment among the ordinary higher college in Anhui .
The Institute is determined the experiment college by the the Ministry of Education and other seven ministries and commissions in the fields of the Application of Digital Control Technology, the Automobile Application Technology, Skilled Ttraining Project for Construction Institutions, the site for Double Certificated Teachers with Pprofession and Technology , the Work-study Program by Anhui Province and Ministry of Education.
 In 1996, Institute established the stations for Vocational Identified Skills and Considered, the Advanced Units for Vocational Identified Skills in the Municipal and Provincial Level. It is the Cooperation Colleges of Webpage Designer Project with the Ministry of Information Industry, National Information Technology Training project; China s Vocational Training and Vocational Qualification Certification Workstations; CAD Application Training Wuhu China Center; the Wuhu Branch Training Centers of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Wuhu Training PRO / E centers of Tsinghua University,.
The college insists on serving for the local area as the purpose, adhering to the ideas of Market-oriented school, Joint-venture school, Local economy serving school", taking the initiative attitude to integrate into the Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone, with Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and many other enterprises to develop cooperation. In the construction synchronous, interactive development with the Economical zone，the distinctive characteristics of the integration into the development zone, innovative school-enterprise cooperation model" has been interactively formed.The new model of school-enterprise assimilated cooperation, that is, Co-teaching, Management Participation, Cultural Assimilation, Job Orders" has been innovated. The teaching quality has been progressively improved with the realization of the depth of school-enterprise integration.
